This A-frame garden trellis with net is a metal climbing plant support arch for peas, beans, cucumbers and squash, folding flat at the end of the season. Climbing crops sprawl across a bed and rot where they touch soil. This A-frame Calmility trellis lifts them into the air on nylon netting, so beans, peas, cucumbers, squash and ornamental vines climb clear of the ground, get light and airflow on both faces, and can be picked standing up instead of on your knees.
The A-shape is more useful than a flat panel in a small garden. It is self-supporting, so it does not need a wall or a fence; the two faces double the growing area over the same patch of soil; and the space underneath stays plantable for lettuce or herbs that appreciate the shade in high summer. Two faces also means you can plant a quick crop like peas on one side and a slower climber like a rose on the other, and neither shades the other out as the season goes on.
