This 7-tier wooden paper sorter is a desktop A4 file and letter tray organizer with seven open slots, sorting post, invoices and documents into a single upright unit. Paper on a desk forms one pile because there is only one place to put it. Seven tiers gives you seven places, which is the whole trick: incoming, to sign, to file, current project, reference, printer paper and the overflow. This Calmility sorter makes that separation physical, and a desk stops being a single archaeological layer of documents.
At 36 by 25 by 38.5 centimetres it takes A4 flat with room to lift a sheet out, and the 5.5 centimetre gap between layers is sized for a working stack rather than a single page. The widened design also handles books, notebooks, a pen pot and miscellaneous desk clutter on the lower tiers, which is how most people actually use it. The separation is also what makes it possible to clear a desk in two minutes rather than twenty, because every sheet already has an obvious destination rather than needing a decision.
